Samuel J. Curry, 61, of Hayfield Twp., died Sunday August 1, 2004, at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born in Meadville May 25, 1943, a son of the late Samuel G. & Rosemary M. Cowden Curry.
He attended Saegertown Public Schools, St. Agatha High School, and Williamsport Technical School, and had been employed by several area businesses including Vallonia Industries, United Natural Gas Co., Cohen Auto Supply Co., & Keystone View Co.
He was a member of Little’s Corners United Methodist Church, Hayfield Twp. Vol. Fire Dept., Pioneer Steam & Gas Engine Society, Antique Wireless Assn., & Norrisville Sportsman’s Club.
Survivors include: 1 brother, Thomas D. Curry and his wife Kathleen of Erie, 1 niece, Megan Curry, 1 nephew, Michael Curry, 1 Aunt, Wilma Byham, several cousins, & a special friend, Beverly Johnson, of Saegertown.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Robert Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Little’s Corners United Methodist Church, Route #198, Saegertown, with the Rev. Lea Guiney, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Denny Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little’s Corners United Methodist Church, c/o Irene Gaines, 19198 Porky St., Saegertown, PA 16433.
