Sandra E. Mcmillin

Sandra E. McMillin, 67, of Wexford and formerly of Conneaut Lake, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, July 25, 2011.

She was born June 24, 1944 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Albert and Ruth Bitzer Wachter.  She married David C. McMillin October 7, 1967 and he preceded her in death May 29, 2006.

She was a 1962 graduate of Oliver High School in Pittsburgh and a 1966 graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in Medical Technology.  She worked for 18 years at Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh as a Medical Technologist.   She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed walking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Dean C. McMillin of Easton; a daughter, Colleen R. Hartzell and her husband Jeremy of Wexford; two grandchildren Ruth and Grace Hartzell; two sisters, Myrtle Metts of Pittsburgh and Marlene Kallstrand of Fishers, IN and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Conneaut Lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Conneaut Lake Historical Society, P.O. Box 425, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
