Sara L. Miller

March 24, 1910 — January 1, 1753

Miss Sara L. Miller, of Meadville, library assistant of Meadville Public Library and secretary of the Crawford County Historical Society for many years, died Wednesday, June 20, 1062, at City Hospital following a long illness.  She had been hospitalized for almost two years.

She has been library assistant and historical society secretary from 1936 until she was hospitalized in 1960.  She was elected honorary secretary at the 1961 and 1962 annual meetings of the historical society.

She was born in Linesville, a daughter of Charles L. and Nellie Jane Sheakley Miller, and attended Linesville High School, Allegheny College and the library school at Chautauqua, NY.

Miss Miller was affiliated with the former Universalist Church at Linesville.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Nellie J. Miller of Meadville and two nieces, Mrs. Charles Reno of Cambridge, MA and Miss Jane Frobes of New York City.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Linesville Cemetery.
