Sara Smith Brown, 74, of Meadville, died Saturday, January 7, 1995, at Meadville Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 10, 1920, in Bentleyville (Washington County, PA), a daughter of Albert and Anna (Deems) Reed. She married Robert L. Smith April 15, 1939, who died June 12, 1965. She subsequently married James O. Brown, Jr. August 29, 1973, who died December 24, 1986.
She was a cook for many years at the Lamplighter Restaurant following her employment in houseware sales at Wolf's.
Survivors include two sons, Harold L. Smith of Guys Mills and Ronald P. Smith of Junction City, KA; two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Bonnie) Lenhart and Mrs. Frank (Beverly) Lojek of Guys Mills; three brothers, Albert Reed of AZ, Milton Reed of Fruita, CO and William Reed of Meadville; three sisters, Elizabeth Waid, Nora Pendleton and Amanda Harsch, all of Cleveland, OH; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Smith and a sister, Martha Meadville.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Radle Cemetery.
