Sara T. Bogardus

Sara T. Bogardus, 89, of Guys Mills, died January 9, 1999 at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born July 8, 1909 in Wayne Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Charles and Alta Tanner.  She married Floyd L. Bogardus January 16, 1932 and he preceded her in death November 20, 1986.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills and its quilters club.

Survivors, include three daughters, Marilyn Stallard (Richard) of Meadville, Virginia Sanner (Ronald) of Guys Mills and Janet Hunter (James) of Meadville; two sons, Bruce L. Bogardus (Sue) of Hartsville, SC and Norman L. Bogardus (Myrtle) of Guys Mills; a sister, Evelyn Peterson of Meadville; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Rice.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
