Sarah Gable

Mrs. Sarah Gable, 83, of Kerrtown, widow of Delbert Gable, died at City Hospital, Tuesday, February 21, 1978, after an illness of several months.

Born in Meadville, she was a daughter of William and Margaret Martin Brady.  She married Gable on January 16, 1912.  He died January 14, 1968.  Mrs. Gable was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Charles (Kathryne) Clark and Mrs. Margaret Benak, both of Meadville, Mrs. Ethel Luzier, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Hargenrader and Mrs. Esther Popovich, all of Guys Mills, and Miss Annabelle Gable at home; six sons, Albert, James, Arthur and Edward, all of Meadville, Charles at home and Harold of Cochranton; a sister, Miss Margaret Brady of Meadville; a brother, Arthur Brady of Jamestown, NY; thirty-seven grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
