Sarah Kathleen (Dillinger) Monnin

Sarah Kathleen Dillinger Monnin, 77, of Meadville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, September 12, 2014 following a courageous seven year battle with cancer.

She was born in Meadville May 1, 1937 a daughter of Frank and Birdena Stanford Dillinger.  She married James R. Monnin June 29, 1957 and he survives.

Sarah was a 1955 graduate of Saegertown High School.  A homemaker, she previously worked at Avtex, Inc. and Talon, Inc.

Sarah was an active member of Carmel Baptist Church.  She enjoyed flower gardening, was an excellent cook, and was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished her time spent with her family.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Jim of 57 years, include two daughters, Lisa R. Monnin of Meadville and Tonya N. Monnin Uitzetter and her husband Sherman of Meadville; two grandsons, Benjamin T. Uitzetter and Andrew J. Uitzetter, both of Meadville; a brother, Joseph S. Dillinger of Meadville; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Dillinger Mohra and a brother, Clifford S. Dillinger.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Carmel Baptist Church, 21659 N. Mosiertown Road, Saegertown with Pastor Sherman Skeens, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Denny Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Carmel Baptist Church, 21659 N. Mosiertown Road, Saegertown, PA 16433.
