Sarah 'Sally' Beatty

Mrs. Sarah "Sally" Beatty, 76, wife of William D. Beatty, died Friday, April 27, 1984, at City Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born at Pittsburgh, May 14, 1907, a daughter of Ralph and Sue Raeger Cox.  She was married August 12, 1942.

She was employed for many years in the processing department at the former Viscose Co., both in the Lewistown and Meadville plants.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, William A. Beatty of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Miller of Lewistown, Mrs. Florence Smith of Lewistown and Mrs. Betty Koons of Harridburg; and two granddaughters.  She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
