Selma E. Parks

October 15, 1890 — December 15, 1960

Mrs. Selma E. Parks, 70, wife of William J. Parks, of Kerrtown, died Thursday, December 15, 1960, at City Hospital a day after being admitted.  She had been ill short time.

Mrs. Parks was born in Westfield, NY, October 15, 1890, a daughter of Frederick and Albertina Marquardt Eggert.  She married Parks May 6, 1913.

She was active in the Kerrtown Civic Club and was a member of Stone Methodist Church and Golden Crown Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.  She had been a long-time volunteer worker for the local unit of the American Cancer Society.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Shirley) Yocina of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Hunter of Meadville and Mrs. Louise Berdick of Kenmore, NY; four brothers, William, Paul, Albert and Frederick Eggart, all of Westfield and two grandsons, Micheal and Scott Yocina.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
