Sherry P. Stockton

Sherry P. Stockton, 52, of Conneautville, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.

She was born December 21, 1960 in East St. Louis, IL, a daughter of Phillip Aikens and Sharon Newton Aikens Burnes.

Sherry was a 2007 graduate of Edinboro University with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology.  She had been employed as a case manager for St. Benedict’s in Meadville and Erie.

A loving grandmother, Sherry adored her grandchildren who meant the world to her and she cherished her time spent with them.

Survivors include a daughter, Cassandra Stoll and her husband Mark of Conneaut Lake; two sons, Gerard Eppig of Pittsburgh and James Stockton, II of Meadville; her mother, Sharon Burnes and her husband Richard of Cahokia, IL; seven grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia, Lillian, Ember, Gregory, Trevor, and Trenton; two brothers, William Burnes and Richard Burnes and his wife Terry, all of Illinois; a sister, Gwynne Allison and her husband Pete of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Benjamin Travis, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.

A private family committal service followed by interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Conneaut Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania, 100 W. Station Square Dr., Suite 1920, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
