Shirley Ann Taylor

Shirley Ann Taylor, 81, of Cleveland, GA, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 in Gainesville, GA following a period of declining health.

She was born February 7, 1941 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of Vincent and Cora Lee Little Karr.  She married Doyle Edward Taylor December 30, 1960.

Shirley worked at Edinboro University as a secretary in the department of ODSS.  She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Doyle Edward, include a daughter, Christina Joy Thompson (Walter) of Sylvania, GA; a son, Sean Vincent Taylor (Carrie) of Potomac, MD; four grandchildren, Tara Thompson, John Edward Thompson, Daniel Owen Thompson, and Reece Taylor; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, James, and Joseph Carr and a sister, Iris Beatty.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jane Ellen Nickell officiating.

Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
