Shirley Jean Wykoff, 88, of Meadville died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Crawford County Care Center.
She was born in Meadville September 17, 1926 a daughter of Albert “Bill” and Ethel Crosby Raybuck. She married Cecil “Bud” Wykoff February 23, 1946 and he preceded her in death April 11, 2014.
She was a 1945 graduate of Townville High School. She worked for the J.C. Penney Co., Talon Inc., Westinghouse, Mosbacher Jewelry Store and as a doctor’s assistant in the offices of Drs. Ellsworth and Dunn and Freelander and Hoke.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Meadville Medical Center Auxilliary and Sweet Adelines vocal group. She enjoyed making ceramics, roller skating, dancing and trips to Canadohta Lake.
She is survived by a son, William (Bill) Wykoff and his wife Sharon of Meadville; a grandson, William (Bud) Wykoff and his wife Catherine of Herndon, VA; twin great granddaughters, Sarah Jean and Kaitlin Ann Wykoff; two sisters, Joanne Bunce and her husband Nelson of Blooming Valley and Patricia Leonheart and her husband George of Linesville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Raybuck and two sisters, Louise Gawlinski and Helen Childs.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Rebecca W. Patterson, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
