Shirley M. O'Nan

Mrs. Shirley M. O'Nan, 50, wife of Edwin L. O'Nan, of Meadville, died at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo, Friday, July 23, 1976, after an illness of several months.

Born in Meadville, November 2, 1925, she was a daughter of Charles H. and Alice B. Flaugh Ortman.  She married Mr. O'Nan on December 28, 1946.  Mrs. O'Nan was a graduate of Meadville Public Schools and of Lycoming College in Williamsport and was secretary-treasurer of Ortman and Reitze, Inc.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and its guild, Meadville Woman's Club, City Hospital Aux. and the Meadville Shade Tree Commission.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edwin L, Jr. and Charles D. O'Nan, both of Lexington, NC; her mother of Meadville; a brother, Kenneth Ortman of Meadville; two granddaughters, Cindy and Joan O'Nan of Lexington and several aunts and uncles.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
