Stacie L. Thompson

Stacie L. Thompson, 61, of Stoneboro, passed away at home on March 2, 2025. Stacie was born to Lavina F. “Shi” Cutchall and Derald W. Shuffstall on March 28, 1963. Stacie graduated from Grove City High School before joining the workforce at Pine Instruments in Grove City. Most of all, she was a homemaker who took care of her family and all her animals. 

Stacie married the love of her life, Dennis A. Thompson, on June 12, 1993. He survives at home. 

Stacie loved the outdoors. She could always be found doing something outside either taking care of animals or just enjoying the great outdoors. Stacie would often kayak, favoriting French Creek where she loved to go. She also enjoyed hiking, having bonfires, and exploring the world around her. Stacie never strayed from an adventure. Stacie would regularly take motorcycle rides or take the snowmobile out when winter hit just to feel the wind in her hair. She maintained a beautiful garden and was so happy to be able to care for her plants just the same as she would care for her beautiful horses and other animals. Stacie enjoyed being able to get out and hunt during deer season even if she didn’t get anything. Stacie loved music, but most importantly she loved her family and friends and being able to share all of these adventures with them. 

Stacie is survived by her husband and her daughters, Morgan and Hayly Thompson, of Stoneboro. Stacie is survived by her mother, Lavina, her two sisters; Brenda (Ron) Grahm and Bobbi Jo (Dave) Blair; and her brothers; Chuck Shuffstall, Scott (Sherri) Shuffstall, and Derald “Bud” Shuffstall. Stacie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Stacie is preceded in death by her father.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro, PA, 16153. A celebration of life, a "Stacie Party", will be held on Friday, 6:00PM , March 28, 2025, at their farm on Gander Road. Friends and Family are welcome to join them for a bonfire and dinner at 6PM.
