Stanley E. Bradshaw, 82, of Meadville died at home Wednesday, September 6, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was born November 20, 1934 in Meadville a son of Clyde Miller and Elizabeth V. Lemon Bradshaw. He married Darlene Ann Leimbach November 20, 1956 and she survives.
He was a 1952 graduate of Saegertown High School and then attended Penn State University. He worked briefly for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad but then was a dairy farmer all of his life and he loved that life. The Bradshaw farm has been in the family since the 1840’s and he first worked it with his uncle, Clarence and then was joined by his son, Stephen in 1980. He was a director of the Meadville Farm Credit for 27 years and served on the board of directors of the Erie-Crawford Co-Op and the Dairy Heard Improvement Association. He enjoyed golfing, snow skiing and flying his own plane.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Darlene Ann of 60 years, include five children, David Bradshaw of Aviano, Italy, Stephen Bradshaw and his wife Darlene of Meadville, Diane Beatty and her husband David of Meadville, Joe Bradshaw and his wife Sharon of Sarasota, FL and Rick Bradshaw and his wife Jolene of Chicago, IL; fourteen grandchildren, Kira Bradshaw, Megan Bradshaw, Sarah Good and her husband David, Jessica Hannold and her husband Tanner, Brittany Beatty, Kelsey Beatty, Kyle Beatty, Ben Bradshaw, Sam Bradshaw, Emily Gunawan and her husband Indra, Isabelle Bradshaw, Parker Bradshaw, Logan Bradshaw and Bruce Bradshaw; three great grandchildren, Katie Ann Hannold, Charlie Good and Thomas Good; a sister-in-law, Doris Bradshaw of Erie; a brother-in-law, Robert L. Steiner of Blooming Valley and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Miller Bradshaw; four sisters, Amy Bradshaw, Dorothy Hamilton, Ruth Wenzel and Susie Steiner and two brothers, G. Bruce Bradshaw and Clarence P. “Brad” Bradshaw.
The memorial service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Pleasantview Alliance Church, 16233 State Hwy 86, Saegertown, PA with the Rev. Keith Draa, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
