Stanley J. Dillaman, 81, of Saegertown, died Saturday, October 31, 1998, at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born November 19, 1916, in Hayfield Township, a son of Oscar and Inez (Coon) Dillaman. He married Zenia M. Worley, June 25, 1941 and she preceded him in death March 31, 1973.
He was a lifelong dairy farmer in Hayfield Township and also worked for the Crawford Co. Maintenance Department from which he retired in 1978 and previously had worked at American Viscose Corp.
He was a former Hayfield Township Supervisor and a 50-year member of the Hayfield Grange. He was also a devoted family man and of the Methodist Faith.
Survivor include three daughters, Betty Owston of Meadville, Mrs. Donald (Janice) Wallis of Saegertown and Mrs. Daniel (Faye) Cole of Saegertown; three sisters, Esther J. Hutchinson of Saegertown, Myrtle A. Peters of Meadville and Phoebe L. Thompson of Amherst, OH; four grandchildren, Mrs. Scott (Michele) Owston Peterson, Mrs. Pete (Yvonne) Rabwick, Mrs. Don (Tracy) Larson and Charles J. Cole; and two step-grandsons, Stephen and Timothy Wallis.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna M. Cutshall and step-grandson, Christopher Wallis.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
