Stanley L. Harmon

Stanley L. Harmon, 74, of Meadville, died at home Wednesday, June 11, 1980, after a long illness.

He was born in Meadville June 21, 1906, a son of Frank A. and M. Eva Fritz Harmon.  He married Ernestine Rey December 3, 1929.

He was employed at Talon from 1934 to 1945, was an Erie Railroad electrician from 1942 to 1945 and taught electrical vocational school from 1945 until his retirement.

He was a member of Crawford County Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge 408; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of New Castle; Timothy Alden Council No. 60; Northwestern Commandery No. 25, Knights Templar; Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie; Solomon Royal Arch No. 191; NWPA Shrine Assn.; Crawford Amateur Radio Society; Rota Lanbda Sigma Fraternity Society, Theta Chapter of Pittsburgh.

He also belonged to the Mahoning Valley Trailer Unit.

He attended State Teachers College, Edinboro, the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State College.

Survivors include twin sisters, Mrs. Charles Edwin (Eva) Kiser and Mrs. Evelyn DeVore, both of Meadville; an aunt; cousins; one niece; one nephew; three grandnieces and four grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Herschel and George.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Agatha's Cemetery.
