Stella B. Mann

Stella B. Mann, 82, of Meadville, died at home Friday, May 4, 1990.

She was born in Landour, India, on June 28, 1907, a daughter of the Rev. William J. and Hannah Campbell Brandon.  She married Clyde I. Mann in 1923.  He preceded he in death on June 9, 1968.

She was a housewife.  She was a member of Stone Methodist Church for 62 years; member and past president of the United Methodist Women of the church; member of the Marriott Sunday School class; has served on the administrative board and various committees and commission of the church; member and past president of the Meadville Women's Club and its garden division and literary division; member and past president of Philo Mathesian Literacy Club; member of the women's aux. of the Meadville Medical Center; member of YWCA; and had been a volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Bank and the Salvation Army.

She is survived by a son-in-law, Jack W. Phenix of Lincoln; two grandsons, Michael R. Phenix of Lawrence, KA and Jack W. Phenix, Jr. of Arlington, TX; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Phenix, one sister, Nancy A. Brandon and two brothers, Loyal and John Brandon.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
