Stella M. Swartz

Mrs. Stella M. Swartz, 64, wife of Lewis Swartz, Sr., of Meadville, died Tuesday morning at City Hospital after an illness of two months.

She spent her early life in Clearfield County and moved to Meadville about 20 years ago.  She was employed for several years in the cafeteria of the American Viscose Co. Until her last illness, she operated a restaurant at Pine Street and Burns Avenue near Talon, Inc.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, William J. (Pete) and Lewis, Jr., both of Meadville and Lyle Cook of Smethport; two daughters, Mrs. Daryle Griffith of Meadville and Mrs. William G. Southard of Philipsburg; her mother, Mrs. Frannie Walker of Phillipsburg; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Wood of Phillipsburg; two brothers, Clair of Meadville and Frank of Meadville and eleven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Amy Cemetery, Morrisdale.
