Stephen D. Waid

Stephen D. Waid, 70, of Meadville, died Thursday, December 28, 1978, at City Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born near Blooming Valley, November 10, 1908, a son of Bennington and Velma Clark Waid.  He married Ethel Fitzgerald Tenney, June 22, 1927.  He retired in 1973 as an electrician with Talon where he worked 12 years.  He previously was employed in construction work.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.  He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Klinginsmith of Cochranton and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
