Stephen Heme

Stephen Heme, 78, Country Acres Mobile Home Park, Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital Friday, August 24, 1979, after an extended illness.

He was born in Dupuesne, Allegheny County, November 13, 1900, son of Paul and Verona Sipos Heme.  He married Inez Britton on June 9, 1928.

Heme retired in 1966 as a machinist for the former Erie Lackawanna Railroad where he worked for 37 years.

He was a member of the United Church of Guys Mills, East Mead Volunteer Fire Department and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way of the former Erie Lackawanna Railroad.

In addition to his wife, Heme is survived by three sons, Jerry J. and Thomas R. of Guys Mills and Paul R. (Dick) of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Helen DeMaison of Sun City, AZ and Mrs. Rose Derfus of McAllen, TX; two brothers, Joseph of Anaheim, CA and Andrew of McAllen; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank and one grandson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
