Stewart F. Barker

Stewart F. Barker, 75, of Meadville died near Kittanning Saturday, April 28, 1984, from injuries received in a Saturday morning automobile accident.

He was born in West Elizabeth February 3, 1909, a son of Frank and Sara Shearer Barker.  He married Ruth M. Haun February 26, 1934.

He retired in 1974 from the formerFMC, now Avtex Fibers Inc., after 42 years of service.  He was a 50 year member of Grace United Methodist Church; member, past master, and treasurer of Masonic Lodge 408; and a member of Scottish Rite Bodies of New Castle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Carl of Meadville and James of Albuquerque; and two nieces.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Funka, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
