Suzanne 'Sue' Waid

Suzanne “Sue” Waid, 68, a resident of Wesbury Hillside Home, died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Wesbury United Methodist Community after several months of declining health.

She was born in Meadville, April 15, 1938, a daughter of the late Leland V. and Lucille Bertram Waid.

Sue was a 1957 graduate of Meadville High School and a graduate of the Erie Infants Home and Hospital as a Child Care Technician.  She had been employed at Meadville City Hospital, Buffalo Children’s Hospital, Meadville Spencer Hospital, and Polk Center, Polk, PA.

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and a former member of the church choir.  She enjoyed hand work, crafts, weaving, and card playing.

Survivors include one sister, Barbara L. Waid of Titusville; one brother, Robert W. Waid and his wife Janet of Conneaut Lake; three nephews, Robert S. Waid, Todd A. Waid and his wife Wendi and their children,  Ava and Charlie, of Meadville, Ryan P. Waid and his wife Kathleen and their daughter Maya, of Harrisonburg, VA; one aunt, Grace B. Hilder of California, MD and several cousins.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.  The funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Aaron Kerr, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
