Terrance N. Anderson

Terrance N. Anderson, 62, of Meadville passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Terry graduated from Northwestern H.S. in Albion, PA in 1977 and immediately left for boot camp, as he had enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp.  He served for 8 years and was proud to have been placed on Embassy Duty in Russia and Venezuela.  Upon his discharge he pursued a career in firefighting.  He was in Oklahoma and Colorado before working for the East Naples Fire Department.   During his 24 year career he was a Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, Instructor, Color Guard and Union Rep. for which he served as treasurer for many years.   A major milestone for Lt. Anderson was his assistance with acquiring the Special Response Unit, or SRU21, which was used to help provide air support on emergency incidents. To his firefighter fraternity and friends, he was known as T.A. and Griz.  The men and women of the East Naples Fire Department held a special place in his heart.

Terry had a passion for hunting, fishing and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He possessed keen gunsmithing skills and enjoyed operating his small custom knife business, Anderson Custom Knives LLC.  He had many special friends in Naples and the Pittsburgh area that he remained in contact with after his retirement and moving to Meadville, PA.

He was born on September 13, 1959 in Erie, PA. Son of Norman D. Anderson, Karen Fosburg and stepson of Philip Perry. He is preceded in death by maternal grandmother Ruth Deibler, paternal grandparents Harry and Catherine Anderson and brother Todd Anderson.   He is survived by sisters Mollie (Loren) Bennett, Michele Amore, and Marilyn Mullen. Brothers Tim (Michael Cheatwood) Anderson, Ty (Regina) Perry. He is further survived by his niece Devin Campbell, nephews Travis Bennett, Blake Campbell, Spencer Mullen, Alex Haas, his Goddaughter Sydney Schilling, as well as Dan Campbell, Gordon Teed, Kevin Teed and Mike Seaton, whom Terry thought of as brothers.

In accordance with Terry’s wishes, no calling hours will be observed. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
