Thelma L. Hall

Thelma L. Hall, 86, of 10885 Homewood Road, Meadville, died Thursday, August 01, 2002 at the Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Corry, PA May 17, 1916 a daughter of Ernest K. and Anna Haenel Hall, Sr.

She worked for many years in the Housekeeping Dept. of the former David Mead Inn and also worked as a babysitter for many Meadville area families.  She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and was a volunteer with the Meadville Soup Kitchen.  She enjoyed her daily trips on the CATA bus.

Survivors, include a brother, William Hall and his wife Irene of Meadville, three sisters, Mary Ellen Edmonds and her husband Richard of Meadville, Betty Hipple and her husband Charles of Meadville and Isabelle Clark of Tucson, AZ and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by four sisters, Lillian Weir, Neva Marie Higby, Gay Hindle and Marian Badagliacca and a brother, Ernest K. Hall, Jr.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Aschmann, pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
