Thelma S. Tyler, 89, formerly of Conneaut, OH, and a Meadville resident since 1992, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Wesbury United Methodist Community after a period of declining health.
She was born in Conneaut, OH, December 4, 1910, a daughter of Adiel and Susanna Laituri Alhberg. She was first married to William T. Ross, and he preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Hal B. Tyler, and he died in 1984.
She had attended Spencerian College of Cleveland, OH and then been employed as Secretary to the President of Conneuat Bank and Trust Co., Conneaut, OH, for 10 years.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Hill (Maynard) of Meadville; a nephew, Gary Hill (Karen) of Conneuatville; and four nieces, Karen Graham of Meadville, Beverly Brooks of Conneaut, OH, Audrey Punkar (Duane) of Conneaut, OH and Alice Colson of Griffin of Georgia and several grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister, Tynne Ahlberg and two brothers, John and William Alhberg.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
