Theodore F. Seaman, 71, was a former American Viscose employee and a World War II veteran.
Seaman, of Meadville, died Saturday, September 17, 1994, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie after a short illness.
He was born in Guys Mills, July 28, 1923, a son of Paul and Hazel Franklin Seaman. He married Norma E. Ganster, April 21, 1946. She survives.
He retired in 1988 as a plumber at Edinboro University of Pennslyvania after 17 years of service. He also worked for 23 years as a spinner at the American Viscose Division of FMC in Meadville.
He served with the US Army 530th Quarter Master Corps in the European Theater during World War II. He was a member of Cambridge Springs American Legion Post, the Venango Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Meadville Elks Lodge 219.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. David (Gail) White and Mrs. Dan (Eileen) Jamison, both of Meadville; three sons, Paul B. Seaman of Meadville, Robert N. Seaman of Conneaut Lake and Lynn E. Seaman of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Kenneth Seaman of Marion, OH and eleven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter and a sister, Jean Shafer.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Radle Cemetery.
