Theresa Ann Paterson

Theresa Ann Paterson, 81, of Meadville died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Marquette Hospice House following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 3, 1937 in Moosic (Lackawanna County), PA a daughter of John and Bertha Krieger Jasieniecki.  She married David D. Paterson June 2, 1956 and he survives.

She was a graduate of Moosic High School and worked as a secretary at Allegheny College for 17 years retiring in 1992.  She previously had worked at the Meadville Holiday Inn and the former Spencer Hospital.  In her retirement she worked at the Crawford County READ Program.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening (both flower and vegetable), fishing and documentaries of nature and animals.

Survivors, in addition to her husband David of 62 years, include: a daughter, Denise L. Nageotte (Jerry) of Meadville; three step-grandchildren, Ashley Nageotte of Cortland, NY, Lindsey Nageotte of White Plains, NY and Michael Nageotte of Albany, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister; two step-brothers, Frank and Arthur Kilvitis; a step-sister, Caroline Basta and two nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday, October 5th from 12 – 2 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Brumagin officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
