Thomas E. "Tom" Dye

Thomas E. “Tom” Dye, 92 of Jackson Center, passed away on September 1, 2021. Tom was born in Grove City on April 5, 1929 to the late Henry and Gertrude Price Dye. He was a graduate of Stoneboro High School and went on to proudly serve his Country in the United States Navy. He then worked at Westinghouse in Sharon in the shipping department until his retirement. Tom was a member of Jackson Center Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years as well as bowling. He was also a very talented artist creating many drawings and works of art over his years. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his wife playing cards and going out for lunch at many local restaurants. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Tom married his beloved wife, Evelyn in 1951, she survives at home. In addition to his wife Tom is survived by his daughter Barbara Dye of Jackson Center, and son Timothy Dye and wife Bonnie of Kennerdell; grandchildren Tammie (Rob) Grant, William “Bill” (Susan) Marsh, Michael (Whitney) Marsh, Kelly Dye, and Eric (fiancée Brittanee Liukkonen) Dye; great-grandchildren Christopher (companion Vikki) Grant, Natalie (Brian) Coursen, Mackenzie Marsh, Destiny (Fiance Dakota) Marsh, Jared Marsh, Kaitlin Marsh, and Remington Marsh; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters Phyllis Jean Klara and Carol Ann Orr, and brothers Leslie “Les” Dye and John Dye, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Dye. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 12 pm – 1 pm on Tuesday, September 7. A funeral service will follow visitation at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
