Thomas H. Deloe

Thomas H. Deloe, 90, of Meadville, died Monday, January 9, 1995, at Meadville Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born at Venus, PA, January 11, 1904, a son of the late Samuel and Emma (Karns) Deloe.  He married the former Ruth Gibson of Bradford, May 1, 1940.  She survives.

Mr. Deloe had attended Clarion State Normal School, and had operated the Tom Deloe Real Estate Agency in Meadville for 16 years.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, and had served on many boards and committees.  He was a former secretary-treasurer of the Board of Directors of Wesbury United Methodist Community; a member and past president of Meadville Lions Club; had been an active board member of the Crawford County Unit of the American Cancer Society; he was a volunteer with the American Red Cross; member of Masonic Lodge #408; member and past Thrice Illustrious Master of Timothy Alden Council #60; member and past Most Excellent High Priest of Solomon Royal Arch Chapter #60; member and past Commander of Northwestern Commandry #25 Knights Templar, all of Meadville; member of Erie Consistory; member of Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie; member of Crawford County Shrine Club; and member of Knights of the York Rite College, Bradford.

Survivors, in addition to his widow, include a son, Gary G. Deloe of Eugene, OR.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Harper and four brothers, Glenn, Rupert, Louis and Kenneth Deloe.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in McKean Memorial Park.
