Thomas R. Heme

Thomas R. Heme, age 83, of Meadville passed away Thursday afternoon January 9, 2025, in his residence.

He was born in Meadville on April 9, 1941, a son of Stephen and Inez (Britton) Heme. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Randolph High School and served his country in the United States Navy. On December 7, 1963, Tom married the former Margot “Peggy” Sanner, she passed away on November 16, 2008. 

He was employed as a welder at Conrail Railroad for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Wayland Baptist Church. 

He is survived by two sons, Jason Heme and his wife Jennifer of Norristown, PA and Chad Heme and his wife Dawn of Arcade, NY: six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter Rachel Heme, and two brothers Richard Heme and Jerry Heme. 

A Celebration of life and luncheon will be held on June 28, 2025, at 1 pm at East Mead Fire Hall, 23876 State Hwy 27, Meadville.
