Thomas J. Irwin, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and lifelong public servant, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025. He lived a life of dedication - to his family, his country, and his community - leaving behind legacy of love, service, and hard work.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Diane Irwin. Together, they built a family filled with love and cherished memories. He was a proud father to his daughter, Kaylen Irwin, and his sons, Donnie and wife Amanda, Eddie, and Michael and wife Kristina. His greatest joy was his grandchildren - Kayla, Kylie, Courtney, Johanna, Austin, and Thomas Daniel ("TD") - and his great grandchildren, Hailey and Brooke, whom he adored.

Born into a large and loving family, Thomas was the next to youngest of 12 children. He is survived by his siblings, Richard and wife Brenda, Nancy, Arlene, Dee and husband Bob, and Dorothy. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Randall Irwin, as well as his brothers, Robert, Chuck, Raymond, and Donald, and his sisters, Betty and Phyllis.

A proud Marine, Thomas honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service continued throughout his life as a paramedic, a lifetime member of the fire department, and a dedicated fire police officer. He was a man who never hesitated to help others, always putting the needs of his community before his own.

Beyond his service, Thomas had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hunting, or working in his woodshop, he found peace and joy in his passions. His craftsmanship and creativity in woodworking left behind treasured pieces that will be cherished by family and friends for generations.

Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His unwavering love his family, his self serviced to others, and his passion for life will forever be remembered.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose & Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
