Thomas J. Sanderson, 65, of Free Road, Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born in Linesville September 29, 1942 a son of Henry and Hazel Clark Sanderson. He married Carolyn Pernet March 11, 1963 and she survives.
He was a dairy and grain farmer for 40 years. He was a 1960 graduate of Linesville High School and served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking in his cabinet shop and hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Carolyn of 45 years, include: a son, Steven C. Sanderson and his wife Robyn of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Ann Kantz and her husband Todd of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren, Emily Kantz, Justin Kantz, Tyler Sanderson and Bailey Sanderson; a sister, Doris Garland of Painesville, OH; two brothers, Charles Sanderson of Meadville and Randell Sanderson of Orlando, FL and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Sanderson.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
The funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, officiating with Military Honors provided by Huidekoper VFW Post #2006.
Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Shermansville.
