Thurman W. Johnston

September 3, 1878 — February 4, 1949

Thurman W. Johnston, 70, well-known farmer of Hayfield Township, died at his home Friday morning after a long period of illness.  He is death occurred at the family homestead, where he had lived his entire life.

Mr. Johnston was a member of the Beattys Corners United Presbyterian Church and the Vernon Grange.

He is survived by his widow, the former Pearl Hofius; two sons, Patterson and Earl of Vernon Township; a daughter, Mrs. I. J. LoBue of Hayfield Township; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
