Thurwon G. Malliard

Thurwon G. (Tom) Malliard, 85, of Cochranton, a former Channellock employee, died Monday, January 28, 1991, at Wesbury United Methodist Community after an illness of several months.  He had been a patient at Wesbury for two months.

He was born in Venango County, on November 26, 1905, a son of Elhue and Elizabeth Fuller Malliard.  He married Ruth Jewell September 1, 1935.

Mr. Malliard retired in 1971 from Channellock Inc. after 25 years as a machine operator.  He previously was employed at Drafto Co. at Cochranton.

He attended the Meadville Alliance Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Iris Whitman of Cooperstown; an aunt, Ethel Watson of Chico, CA; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Arthur Malliard; a sister, Opel Prenatt and a brother, Clifford Malliard.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
