Timothy R. Oakes, 41, of Saegertown, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 from injuries sustained in snowmobile accident.
He was born in Meadville August 30, 1967 a son of Richard and Cora Stainbrook Oakes. He married Kelly J. Wetsell May 7, 1988 and she survives.
He was a 1986 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and was a Journeyman Tool & Die maker, working first at Chanellock Inc., then Marlan Tool Inc., Standard Precision Mfg., Donlee Tool Corp., and most recently at Imperial Carbide Inc.
He was a member of Elks Lodge #219 and attended Pleasantview Alliance Church.
He loved Steelers football, golfing, hunting, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and his snowmobile. He enjoyed carpentry work, spending time remodeling his house. In addition to his friends and family, he will be dearly missed by his two dogs, Chloe and Colby.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Kelly, include: a daughter, Ashley Oakes of Saegertown; his parents, Richard and Cora Oakes of Conneaut Lake; his sister, Stacie Hauck and her husband Jonathan of Carlton; his Father & Mother-in-law, John and Kay Wetsell of Edinboro; a sister-in-law, Chris Stainbrook and her husband Brian of Meadville; a niece, Brianna Hauck and two nephews, Noah and Corey Stainbrook.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, Assoc. Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church and Chaplain of Meadville Medical Center, officiating.
Burial will be in Saegertown Cemetery.
