Tod Raymond Downing, 46, of Conneaut Lake, died Tuesday, June 27, 2006.
He was born November 13, 1959 in Meadville, a son of Raymond and Shirley Weikal Downing. He married Ronda Rigby February 24, 1997.
He was a 1978 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball and attended Gannon University, Erie. He worked for Dad's Products for 25 years, currently as a semi-truck driver. He was a member of Station 3 VFD and was former 4-H member. He enjoyed hunting, collecting antiques and coins, reading, studying history, art and sports and attending his children's sporting events.
He was a former member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church and had attended Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Raymond (Buck) and Shirley (Tucker) Downing of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Chelsea Downing at home; a son, Colter Downing at home; a brother, Rod Downing (Betsy) of St. Clairsville, OH; two uncles, Elmer Milosh (Hazel) (Boot) and Norman Swartzlander (Lou Ann), all of Conneaut Lake; an aunt, Eileen Hawk (Lawrence) of Akron, OH; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Carolyn Riderchak of Pittsburgh; two nieces, Sarah and Hannah Downing and five cousins, Glenn Milosh, Sandra Loreno, Carol Singleterry, Shirley Workman and Cheree Hawk.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle.
Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
