Todd Lyle Mook

October 14, 1965 — July 4, 2020

Todd Lyle Mook passed away on July 4, 2020 at his home in Boston, MA due to complications from a cerebral stroke incurred on May 10, 2020.  Todd was born in Meadville on October 14, 1965, the son of Lyle R. Mook and Saundra Diaz Mook.

Todd was a 1984 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School and a graduate of the American University, Washington, D.C.

Early in his career, Todd served as the coordinator of graduate student services for the American Psychological Association in Washington, D.C.  He was employed at the time of his death as a senior purchasing analyst at Suffolk University, Boston, MA and as an editorial assistant for Masi Research Consultants, Inc., also in Boston.

From the time Todd was very young, he loved reading, music, live theatre and the “big city life.”  Those loves continued throughout his adult life as evidenced by trips to Broadway plays, a passion for crossword puzzles and word games and visits to many large cities.  Todd very much enjoyed beach vacations with his brother’s family and reveled in his role as “Uncle Spoons” to his nieces and nephew.

Todd was predeceased by his grandparents, Russell and Beatrice Mook of Cochranton and Floyd and Evelyn Diaz of Pittsburgh; an uncle, Roy Mook of Stow, OH; and an aunt, Debbie Mook of Erie.

He is survived by his parents, Lyle and Saundra Mook, his brother, Brad and his sister-in-law, Susan and their children, Ellen, Andrew and Julia, all of Meadville.  Todd is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Sherry and Dean McCreary of Summerfield, FL, Jack and Debbie Maddock of Clairton, PA, Donna Roach of Bradenton, FL, Merle Mook of Erie, Sue Mook of Stow, OH, and by many cherished cousins.  He leaves behind two special friends, Michele Tierney of New Jersey and Jim LaMontagne of Connecticut.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only family members will be received.  Masks and social distancing will be encouraged.

Interment will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Todd be made to the Academy Theatre, 275 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.
