Tom V. Yoder

Tom V. Yoder, 87, of Meadville died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Meadville Medical Center.

He was born January 23, 1934 in Meadville a son of Vebert Raymond and Edna Mae Merriman Yoder.  He married Ruth McLaud September 14, 1962 and she survives.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1957.  Following his military service, he joined his father and brothers in the plumbing and heating business.  He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #449.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge #234, Erie Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine Temple Erie and Huidekoper VFW Post #2006.

In addition to his wife Ruth of 59 years, include: four children, Thomas Yoder (Bridgette) of Meadville and children, Kenniston and Paige Yoder, Jill Hendrix of Gastonia, NC and children, Jake Hendrix and Elizabeth Ledord (Seth), Amy Shaulis (Terry) of Meadville and children, Cole, Stephanie and Ashleigh Shaulis and Mark Yoder (fiancé, Terri Gilmore) of Meadville and son, Antonio Frisina; a sister, Sue Mysnyk (Mike) of Delray Beach, FL; a brother, William Yoder of Avon Lake, FL and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur L. Yoder and two half-sisters, Jane Deeb and Patricia Kirkpatrick.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 26, 2021 from 1-3p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 p.m. with military honors provided by Huidekoper VFW Post #2006.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
