Tracy L. Haas

Tracy L Haas, 44, of Meadville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Meadville, PA a daughter of Dwight M. and Janet E. Miller Haas on December 23, 1974.  After graduating in 1993 from Saegertown High School, Tracy attended Penn State Behrend, majoring in Secondary Education.  She attended Stone United Methodist Church in Meadville where she would volunteer her time to The Lords Locker.

Tracy was an avid animal lover with a special love for cats.  Over the years, Tracy cared for the neighborhood cats and adopted several cats of her own that she loved dearly.  She also enjoyed cooking, exchanging recipes, and collecting Scooby Doo memorabilia.  Since her father’s passing, she dedicated most of her time taking care of her mother.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Haas of Meadville; a brother, Scott Haas and his wife Sue of Stevensville, MD; a sister, Jennifer Hill of Erie; a niece, Natasha; a nephew, Marshall; great-nephew, Braylen; longtime friends, Kevin Sikorski of Espyville and Eileen Carpenter of Meadville; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

In addition to her father, Tracy was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Bernice Carlson and Pearl Rayfield.

Calling hour will be Tuesday, January 8th from 10-11 a.m. at Stone United Methodist Church, 956 S. Main Street, Meadville.  The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Sarah Roncolato, Pastor, officiating.

Interment with be in Greendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd., or Stone United Methodist Church (for The Lord’s Locker), 956 S. Main Street, both of Meadville, PA 16335.
