Tracy L. Smith, 60, of Meadville, died Thursday morning at Veterans Hospital, Cleveland, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.
Son of the late Leonard and Della Smith, he was born at Blooming Valley, where he resided for many years. He also lived in Meadville and was engaged in various businesses, including operation of a Meadville grocery store. He also was employed by Palmer-Welloct Tool Corp. for eight years.
An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of Meadville Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are a son, Dalton L. Smith of Guys Mills; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine L. McGowan, Blooming Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Cutshall, Leetsdale, Mrs. Harry Morris of Erie and Mrs. Harold Waid of Meadville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Smith Cemetery.
