Twila J. Westfall

Twila J. Westfall, 89, formerly of Meadville and a resident of Woodlands of Rockland, ME for the past four years, died there Sunday, December 22, 2013 following a period of declining health.

She was born in Meadville, June 20, 1924, the daughter of John and Gertrude Bossard Janot.  She married Lloyd Frantz and he preceded her in death.  She subsequently married Walter L. Westfall April 14, 1965 and he preceded her in death January 1, 1995.

She was office manager and secretary at Plant 7 of Talon Inc. retiring in 1989 after 30 years of service.  She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and volunteered at the Soup Kitchen.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking long walks.

She is survived by her son Paul Frantz and his wife Emily of Warren, ME; four grandchildren, Stephen Frantz, Gary Frantz, Janelle Brooks and Deana Hershey and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Frantz.

The graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Greendale Cemetery, 700 Randolph Street, Meadville.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
