V. W. Eiler

V. W. Eiler, 88, of Meadville, died at his home Monday evening, October 25, 1976, after a sudden illness.

Born in Meadville, March 3, 1888, he was a son of V. W. and Barbara Eiler.  He married Clara Grotefend on September 3, 1909, and she died in 1959.  On June 29, 1962, he married Frances Weston.  Mr. Eiler operated Eiler's Drugs at the corner of Water Street and Mead Avenue before retiring in 1959.  He joined his father in the family business in 1909 after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.  He graduated from Meadville area schools.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. H. F. (Pauline) Krueger of Nashville, TN and Mrs. John (Katherine) Zetterburg of Williamsville, NY; a son, V. Wally of Meadville; a stepson, Dennis Weston of Meadville; a brother, Clark of Conneaut Lake; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one granddaughter.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
