Vada C. Daly

Mrs. Vada C. Daly, 76, of Meadville, widow of Clarence J. Daly, died after a brief illness Thursday, October 26, 1978, at Spencer Hospital where she had been a patient for three days.

She was born in Mount Hope April 19, 1902, daughter of Harley B. and Zora Slingluff Cutshall.  She married Daly October 15, 1935.  He died in 1973.  She taught for 30 years in the Meadville public school system and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  She graduated from the former Edinboro State Normal School.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Mary) Kutulakis of Carlisle and Mrs. Walter (Ellen) Gallagher, Jr. of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Cliff (Marian) Ricketts of Meadville; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Wenna Case.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
