Vallie Lee Krute

Vallie Lee Krute, 58, of Conneaut Lake, died Sunday, June 30, 2002 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born June 28, 1944 in Nanty-Glo, PA, a daughter of Russell J. and Eleanor R. Gailey Richardson.  She married Ernest J. Krute June 11, 1966 and he survives.

She was a 1966 graduate of Indiana University of PA with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and was a permanently certified teacher in Pennsylvania.  She was the founder and served as the administrator for 18 years of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church's Weekday Ministries daycare program.  She currently worked in Meadville in the Therapeutic Support Staff for the Youth Advocate Program, Inc.  She enjoyed long rides in her convertible, sunsets over Conneaut Lake in her pontoon boat and spoiling her four grandsons.

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 36 years, include her mother, Eleanor R. Richardson of Nanty-Glo; three daughters, Rebecca Ruth Maultsby (Derrick) of Monroeville, Kathryn Judith Locke (Troy) of Milwaukee, WI and Kimberly Teresa Krute of Pittsburgh; a son, Matthew Stewart Krute (Nanja Linger) of Pittsburgh and Amsterdam; a sister, Ruth Eleanor Sacco (Russell) of Pittsburgh; four grandsons, Derrick L. Maultsby, Jr., Maximilian L. Maultsby, Elliot M. Azzaretto and Emanuel S. Azzaretto; and an aunt, unclem niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services were held with Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery.
