Vera O. Rand

Vera O. Rand, 82, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Meadville and Guys Mills, a bookkeeper, died Saturday, April 10, 1993, at Hospice of Palm Beach County, FL, following a short illness.

She was born in Guys Mills, December 13, 1910, a daughter of Norman and Hattie Stewart Oakes.  She married T. A. Yasko.  She subsequently married William Rand.  He preceded her in death in 1980.

She retired as a bookkeeper from Maus-Hoffman of Fort Lauderdale, FL, after 25 years of service.

Survivors include a son, Stewart J. Yasko of Jupiter; a sister, Dorothy Thomas of Stone Mountain, GA; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marion, Elsie and Audry and a brother, Richard.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
