Mrs. Verda (Birdie) Koehler, 46, of Meadville, died Sunday afternoon, December 19, 1971, at City Hospital where she had been a patient for 10 days.
She was born August 23, 1925, at DeGraff, OH, a daughter of Nelson L. and Grace Stayroock King. She had been married to Walter Koehler in 1948. Mrs. Koehler had been employed for the past 18 months as a waitress at the Evergreens Restaurant, and previously at other local restaurants.
Surviving are her step-mother, Mrs. Anna King of St. Clairsville, OH; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Hornbeck of Carrabelle, FL, Mrs. Thomas (Velda) Parsons of Toledo, OH and Miss Martha King in Guatemala; two brothers, Eldon L. King of Conneaut Lake and Dwight A. King of Spartansburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Clifford King, preceded her in death.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
