Verne L. Hulsizer

October 20, 1903 — February 20, 1959

Verne L. Hulsizer, 55, a former resident of Meadville, died Friday, February 20, 1959, at his home in Boynton Beach, FL, after a short illness.

Hulsizer was born in Clarion County, October 20, 1903, a son of Charlie and Sara Mong Hulsizer.  He married the former Pauline Willoughby June 1, 1925.

Hulsizer moved to Florida two years ago after residing in Meadville for about 25 years.  He formerly was an employee of Talon and Steer's Dairy and had been active in West Mead No. 2 Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a member of the Methodist Church at Fort Worth, FL.

Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. John Gordon (Marian) Phelps of Meadville and Mrs. George A. (Harriet) Poux of Union City; a son, Donald of Erie; five sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Mabel) Gustafson of Bradford, Mrs. Richard (Hattie) Hopwood of Buffalo, Mrs. Blanche Cotterman and Mrs. Florence Shreffler, both of Knox and Mrs. Laura Bender of Erie; a brother, Grover of Oil City and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
