Victor J. Taylor, 74, of Meadville, died Friday, September 27, 1968 at City Hospital following a three-year illness.
He was born in Lanesboro, August 9, 1894, a son of George E. and Minnie Simmons Taylor. He married the former Ethel Sloat on June 5, 1919.
Mr. Taylor was employed by Erie Lackawanna Raildroad for 49 years and retired as electrical supervisor for the Western District.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of Susquehana. He also was a 50-year member of Warren Masonic Lodge 240, a member of West Mead VFD and Erie Lackawanna Railroad Veterans Assn.
Survivors, besides his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Beverly) Kreger of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Earl (Betty) Weigle of Meadville and Mrs. Randall (Carole) McQuown of Newark, DE; a brother, Roland Taylor of Susquehanna and eight grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
