Victor L. Kysor

February 17, 1950 — August 23, 2012

Victor L. Kysor, 62, of Santa Anna, TX, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born February 17, 1950 in Corry, PA, a son of Darrell and Louise Caglio Kysor and was raised in the Canadohta Lake area.

Vic was a 1968 graduate of Union City High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973.  He worked as a salesman at the former Vic Farrah Chevrolet for a couple of years before moving to Austin, TX.  He first worked in the grocery industry, then owned and operated Vic’s Grocery first in Florence, TX and then in Santa Anna, TX.

Vic was the most generous and caring person; he was openly appreciative of the support that enabled him to be a recovering alcoholic, sober for 28 years.  He will be missed for many things, among them his sense of humor and ready laughter, his pride in and love for family, and  his ability to live every day to the fullest.

Victor will be greatly missed by family and friends in both Pennsylvania and Texas.  He is survived by his mother, Louise Kysor of Meadville; two daughters, Jenni Strader and her husband Bob and their children, Elijah and Cameron of Kingwood, TX; Marsha Sray and her husband David and their children, Jackson and Wiley Victor of Round Rock, TX; a son, Victor Kysor, Jr. and his fiancée Audra Hubbard and their children, Emma, Grayce, Emori, Aven, and Hannah Diane of Santa Anna, TX; four brothers, Darrell Kysor and his wife Linda of Corry, Daniel Kysor and his wife Kate of Port Allegany, David Kysor of Saegertown, and Darwin Kysor and his wife Pat of Huntingdon; three sisters, Colleen Conaway and her husband John of Worthington, Marsha Byham and her husband Bill of Guys Mills, and Lorna Gee and her husband Fred of Wattsburg; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Kysor, Sr.

A memorial service will be Saturday, September 8th at 3:00 p.m. at the Guys Mills United Evangelical Free Church, 11534 State Hwy 198, Guys Mills with a meal to follow.
